Since I can remember I always loved doodling in sketch books. I begged for pencils, paper, markers, whatever I could get my hands on to create. My parents were happy to make these wishes happen. I started to consider art as a future when I entered LaFollette High School and I met my Teacher and mentor Roger Hanson. With his guidance and knowledge I learned a great deal about what I truly wanted to do with my life. I accepted a scholarship to The Art Institute of Chicago where I studied for a year before transferring to UW Madison. I graduated in 1994/1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Art degree from UW Madison, concentrating on Fine Arts and Graphic Design. Since graduation I worked with a local company, in Madison, WI in their computer graphics department and at the same time creating and displaying my oil paintings at local businesses and galleries around the area. I most recently changed
jobs to work with children in the Madison School District. I am happily married to the love of my life, my beautiful Wife and Soul Mate, who understands my need to create. Without her support and acceptance I would not be the man or Artist I've become. We also have a wonderful son who loves to draw and paint like his Daddy. My family and my art are everything to me! : ) |
